The art of sweet design or the production of bouquets of sweets is becoming especially popular every year. After all, this beautiful and, most importantly, delicious kind of handicraft combines the things so beloved by many: the charm of fresh flowers, the popularity of sweets, the art of decor and the desire to please others. And yet - it's a stylish and original gift.
List of materials:
- Scissors
- Thin wire (Ø 0,37 mm) or thread
- Wire cutters
- Wooden skewers 40см x 3мм
- Double-sided tape
- Hot glue
- Dark green floral tape
- Italian crepe paper 180gr, two colors. We used crepe paper Nr. 589 (Carmino Red) and Nr. 591 (Leaf Grean)
- Artificial rose stems
- Candy with one "tail" - truffles
Step-by-Step Master Class:
1 Put a piece of double-sided tape on the wooden skewer.
2 Attach the tail of the candy to the double-sided tape.
3 We cut red crepe paper into 30cm long and 13cm wide strips.
4 Prepared strips cut into 5 cm wide pieces .
5 Each piece of crepe paper fold in half and cut out the petal.
6 For one rose we will need about 24 petals.
7 Stretch all the petals in the middle with your fingers
8 Leave the three Petals as is, and for the rest make beautiful edges, like real petals.
9 To create a beautiful edge at the petals, you can use a pen or other similar object.
10 The edge of the petal is reeled on the pen to make a beautiful bend.
11 Begin to make a flower.
12 Around the sweets put the petals without a treated edge, creating a rosebud.
13 Fasten the petals with wire or thread.
14 The rest of the petals are fastened around the candy with wire or thread. We do not cut the wire or thread, until we put all the petals.
15 The ends of the paper under the bud can be reduced by cutting off excess paper with scissors.
16 It turns out a beautiful peduncle.
17 We tighten the ends of the crepe paper and a part of wooden skewer with double-sided tape, for additional fastening.
18 From the green paper we cut out a piece of 10cm * 5cm.
19 From this piece we cut out triangular leaves. The ends of the leaves are slightly twisted.
20 Attach the leaves to the base of the rose.
21 We wrap the base of the rose and the stem with a floral tape.
22 Apply to the stem of the rose one branch of the leaves, fasten it with hot glue or double-sided tape.
23 After cooling hot glue decorate the place of attachment with a floral tape.
24 We repeat with the second branch.
